One of my New Years resolutions was to do Family Home Evening. We have not done this on a regular basis. So This month being February. I thought it would be fun to talk about Family and Love since Valentines is coming up. We talked about how to bring Beauty and Love in our Home.
We took 12 Hearts with words on them. 6 had things that will bring love into the home and the others had things that would take it out of our home. They were turned upside down and each kid picked one up and read it. If it brought love into out home then it went on to the Flower. If it didn't then it went on the bottom. The kids loved playing this game they wanted to play it again. I did tape it onto the wall and will leave it there for the month. To remind them of the things we need to do to have Love and beauty in out home. They loved it. Sydney wants to plan the next family home evening.
I think that we will do an activity to show love to our Family, friends, neighbors.
I need to figure out a family home evening board now so I don't have fighting. They are old enough to plan what they would like to do. What a fun way to bring families together.
